About KeDiOs

Drs. Doug and Cathy Ohlendorf live in Minnesota and are Macromolecular Structural Biologists at the University of Minnesota Medical School. They are high school sweethearts and have been married since 1971. On an icy night, March 5, 2004, their only son was a passenger in a car that was broadsided by a semi-truck. He died at the scene. His parents were left with a large hole in their hearts. Three years later, they founded KeDiOs Shelties to to honor the memory of their son, Keith Douglas Ohlendorf (1977-2004). Shelties had always been great companions to Keith as he grew up and a big part of the Ohlendorf family. They strive to produce shelties that excel in body, mind and spirit. They feel that Keith and his sheltie pal Crystal would approve.
